The measure, which establishes new “Definitions and guidelines general information which shall contain the prospects/tags/labels of medicinal specialties of over-the-counter”, postulated, among other pauta:
-the data shall be written in Spanish;

Such prescriptions are due to as slogan the Agency, to conduct a study on the understanding by the user of the information contained in prospectuses, tags and labels of medications, came to the conclusion that most of the analyzed products presented difficulties of interpretation for patients, thereby is errors in the administration of remedies.
The standard also establishes that prospectuses shall be written in font Arial 8 or higher, at the time that they will include “pictograms, icons, different colors and all those design elements that help a better understanding of the information”.
