(Reuters) – the Paraguayan Vice President Federico Franco, ASUNCION was commissioned on Monday after overcoming a cadre of dengue fever which kept him hospitalized for six days, said one of the doctors who attended.

Franc suffered for the second time the disease, a disease transmitted by the bite of the mosquito Aedes aegypti and which is endemic to Paraguay.

Vice President suffered also a painting of dehydration and was 48 hours in intensive care unit by precaution.

“Dr. Franco is in good condition, but still low defenses, must take rest to prevent spread of the any other disease, will stabilize within two days more and could return to work the weekend,” said press conference doctor César Britos Bray.

Franco entered a hospital in the capital on February 9, three days before his wife, Mrs Emilia Alfaro, were also interned for the same illness.

The local Ministry of Health reported days ago that since the beginning of the year were reported in nearly 700 cases of dengue fever in the country, being confirmed 245, although they have not reported dead.

The most frequent symptoms of dengue fever are high fever, headaches, muscle and headaches, swollen lymph nodes, and occasional eruptions on the skin. A more aggressive variant of hemorrhagic type can cause death.
