Valencia, July 2012.- the Minister of health, Luis Rosado, has offered a Conference on models of public-private collaboration in the health sector in the framework Alzira health forum, presented by the managing director of the Health Department of La Ribera, Manuel Marin. Rosado has explained that this collaboration allows you to take advantage of synergies and the agility of the business sector to put them at the service of the public sector and gain efficiency ”.
The bureaucratic rigidity allows not to undertake certain improvements in the quality and efficiency of healthcare ”, recalled Rosado. we must apply all solutions at our disposal to overcome these obstacles and one of them happens to collaborate with the private sector in that we can benefit from ”.
Aunque el modelo de gestión por concesión administrativa (‘modelo Alzira’) es distinto al nuevo modelo sanitario de gestión compartida que se pondrá en marcha en 2013, el conseller ha destacado que el de Alzira es un ejemplo del éxito que puede suponer la participación empresarial bien gestionada en la sanidad pública: we have managed to serve the population with the same objectives of quality than in the other departments, but with a decrease of 25% cost and satisfaction surveys that this primal ”.
Model Alzira pioneered Spain to establish the management by administrative concession of the Department of health. 5 Departments in the region are currently managed using this model. The new model is to enhance the synergies of public-private collaboration, through the externalization of the part not care, mostly already outsourced (such as kitchens, laundry, cleaning or maintenance); of other supplies, medical supplies and pharmaceutical products for the logistic part.
