Repsol promotes the use of AutoGas in the ambulance sector

Castellón, 2011-October Repsol participates from 26 to 29 October in the III national meeting of urgencies and sanitary transport which takes place in the Palace of congresses de Castellón, presenting his bid for the AutoGas sector of ambulances.
At this meeting, organized by the National Federation of ambulance companies (ANEA), with the collaboration of the ministries of health, building and the Generalitat Valenciana, among other agencies and entities, Repsol shows the advantages and opportunities offered by the AutoGas.
The AutoGas, Repsol completes its range of high-tech, efficient and sustainable fuels, contributing to the improvement of the quality of urban air by their minimum values of emissions.
The AutoGas is more economical than traditional fuels. Cost per kilometre assume an average of 20% savings, without taking into account the lower costs of vehicle maintenance.
Other technical advantages of the AutoGas are its softer driving; a greater autonomy, to treat vehicles ‘ bifuel ’ which alternatively used petrol and AutoGas−; a longer duration of the engine due to cleaner combustion, and lower maintenance costs with more closely spaced oil changes.
The AutoGas or LPG from automotive contained in plans of aid and incentives for public administrations by purchase or adaptation of vehicles, both for companies and individuals.
100 stations annual AutoGas and 250 ambulances
Within the bet of Repsol for the AutoGas contained its plan of expansion of the network of points of this alternative fuel supplies. Of these, about 250 are ambulances belonging to the fleets of sanitary transport of important sector entities such as Spanish Red Cross, and specialized companies such as ASV group, Ambuibérica, Ambunort, MP ambulance or ambulance Barbate.
The bet of Repsol is reinforced with a wide AutoGas vehicles by manufacturers offer. Brands such as Seat, Mercedes Benz, Renault, Opel, Skoda, Iveco and up to 15 manufacturers offer models with this modality ‘ bifuel ’ fuel.
Incentives for ambulances
Public aid for the acquisition and conversion of AutoGas vehicles, Repsol offer, companies associated with ANEA, aid to cover the additional cost of the vehicle.
To encourage the refuelling of this fuel in the same group of companies in service stations and independent suppliers or ‘ skids ’, the agreement provides for two lines of discounts on the price of fuel, through the card SOLRED Repsol −si fills in a station of servicio−, or direct discounts for bulk supplies for ‘ skids ’.
