The Department of health of Requena has made 719.501 health assists during 2010.

Requena, 2011-October Requena Health Department has made a total of 719.501 assists during the year 2010, of which 700.541 have been carried out in primary care and the rest by support units (dentistry, unit of addictive behaviors and Sexual and reproductive health center).
The area of health of Requena, which includes the health centres in Campoarcis, Chera, San Antonio, seven water and Requena, has made a total of 189.090 assists, while the area of health in Cofrentes has registered 54.350.
The health centers of Utiel, Benagèber, Los Corrales, La Torre, Las Casas, Las Cuevas and sinarcas recorded a total of 126.984 and the area of health of Caudete 71.172. The area of health of Ayora has done in turn 77.397 assists.
In addition to the improvement in the quantitative aspect, getting a greater volume of assistance, the Department has improved the quality of their services, assessed by management agreements in pathologies prevalent as hypertension, diabetes, and assistance to pregnant women and children.
The improvement has been possible thanks to the joint effort of the management team and professionals, getting a higher resolution in primary care, resolved at this level most of the health problems of patients and getting a rate of 5.54% hospital referral. ”, said immaculate Cervera, Director of the Department of primary care.
In addition, they point out, it has decreased also the number of hospital admissions and care in the Emergency Department, getting that primary care is a health care and efficient level.
Increase in satisfaction
According to levels of satisfaction, stresses the confidence patients in the professionals, getting a 8´11 in care for adults, higher than the average of the Comunitat Valenciana that records a 7´98. In Pediatrics on the other hand, the index is a 7´81, also beating the average of the community.
