Spain, may 2012.- Maximum three officials of the San Juan de Dios hospital order met with the Minister of health, social services and equality, Ana Mato, aiming to provide an overview of the work done by the institution in Spain through its 42 centres.

During the meeting the Minister was very interested by the work done by the OHSJD in the 42 centros sociosanitarios manages in Spain, and divided into six categories of intervention: general hospitals, medical surgical and child care centres in mental health and Psychiatry, centres of comprehensive intervention in old age, centres of special education and rehabilitation of disabled persons, hostels for passers-by and psycho-social rehabilitation centres, and communities of social intervention.
The OHSJD currently in Spain with more than 11,300 workers and partners, close to 2,000 volunteers, 7,400 beds in its various hospitals and centres, and they manage projects of social action carried out by the grant of income tax that will benefit more than 35,000 people in the various autonomous communities.
