Madrid, December 2011.- Santiago de Compostela is the city with largest number of prevalence of multiple sclerosis in Spain cases. In particular, the Galician capital presents 79 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to Lanzarote with 15 per 100,000 population, which is one of the regions of Spain that records lower prevalence.

These data have been provided by Susana Moraleda Pérez, Physiatrist member of the Spanish society of rehabilitation and medical physics (SERMEF), on the occasion of national day of multiple esclerósis, which was held this past Sunday.
