The SESCAM reduces waiting in six hospitals in the province of Ciudad Real.
From December to February days have declined to be operated, apparently in consultation or a diagnostic test.

in the case of the province of Ciudad Real, thanks to the normalizer plan launched by SESCAM, has been reduced in the last months the average waiting time of the patients in its six hospitals (Alcázar de San Juan, Ciudad Real, Manzanares, Tomelloso, Puertollano and Valdepeñas) both to be operatedHow to be treated in consultation or get a diagnostic test, as they reflect the latest official data updated recently.
The decrease of the number of days that patients have to wait to be treated in hospitals in the province has been possible thanks to measures aimed at increasing the resolution both primary care such as hospital, resulting in the reduction of unnecessary or inappropriate entries; and the improvement of yields of operating rooms, diagnostic techniques and external consultations.
Although these actions today are already showing the downward trend, SESCAM expected that better results are recorded in the medium and long term.
this plan is based on managing more effectively own resources, avoiding to refer patients to the private sector and the system of ‘ pawns ’, as was done in the earlier stage with an expense that put all the health system in Castilla – La Mancha to the brink of ruin.
These malpractices mean that currently the Ministry of health and Social Affairs should allocate nearly three million euros a day to pay the interest on the debt of the management of the previous Government, amount which considerably limits the possibilities of action.
All hospitals reduce waiting in queries
The reduction of the waiting in the province of Ciudad Real in the past two months reflected especially when it comes to be seen by a specialist external consultations, area which declined in six hospitals according to updated official data which includes SESCAM.
In the case of the University General Hospital of Ciudad Real, it passed time half 72,89 day waiting in December 2012 60,06 days that had to wait for the month of February.
In Hospital Santa Bárbara de Puertollano also occurred this fall in the middle of waiting time to be seen in consultation. Specifically, December 2012 to February 2013 has gone from 34,95 to 28.71 days.
The Hospital Virgen de Altagracia of Manzanares is the center of the SESCAM of the province in which the patients have to wait less. In particular, the reduction of waiting for this hospital in the last two months has been 21.31 to 13.32 days in consultations.
General Hospital ‘ La Mancha Centro ’ de Alcázar de San Juan there has also been this decline in the average waiting time for external consultation, where we have gone from 66,31 to 62,69 days.
Finally, in the Hospital General de Tomelloso waiting has fallen from 102,95 to 98.5 days, while in the Hospital Gutierrez Ortega of Valdepeñas from 42,34 to 40,39 days.
