Valencia, March 2012.- the Council of nursing of the Comunitat Valenciana (CECOVA) and schools of nursing of Valencia, Alicante and Castellón asked yesterday, on the eve of the international day of working women, that cuts, economic and labour rights in health do not affect to the reconciliation of work and family life of the profession nurse, which mostly consists of women with nearly 90% of the collective of nursing ”.
College of nursing organization recalled that the application of economic adjustments it can not be an excuse for endangering the implementation of such important rights such as the permissions of maternity and breastfeeding, which directly affect the reconciliation of work and family life ”.
Feast of San Juan de Dios
On the other hand, the CECOVA, coinciding with the celebration of the feast of San Juan de Dios, the Spanish nursing pattern tomorrow showed its confidence that in brief complies with the announcement by the Ministry of health and is definitively approved prescribing nurse, allowing to streamline health care to chronic patients ”.
The aim must be, as summed up the President of the CECOVA, José Antonio Avila Olivares, improve the agility of the healthcare, ensure the sustainability of the public health system and, ultimately, offer a service of highest quality to society ”.
To do so, Ãvila urged the Health Ministry to not centralize the management in the medical ” and make a greater commitment to nursing measures such as the extension of professional competencies including, inexcusable way, the active participation of the collective nurse in the design and implementation of plans of care provided in the law of Unit 39 /2006 as well as the empowerment of the policies of prevention and promotion of health through the establishment of school nursing services in schools ”.
