Requena, may 2012.- the Department of health of Requena joins this week the celebration of the week 13th smokeless, coinciding with the commemoration of world no tobacco day on May 31.
13Th week without smoke, this year being held from 24 to 31 May under the theme you leave it, you win! ”, aims to raise awareness of the importance of not exposure to polluted air of smoking or passive smoking for healthas well as motivation among health professionals to carry out interventions on smokers and inform patients that can help them in your health care center.
For this reason, Requena Health Department has decided to join this initiative and cooperate in all those proposed activities. From the Department want to give our support to anyone who wants to quit from its own health centre ”, said immaculate Cervera, Director of primary of the Department.
Professionals have received these weeks a guide of support on the approach of active and passive smoking, leaflets to distribute among the population and a number of activities to set up in each of the health centres. In addition, as a novelty, the proposal of intervention of smoking has been reported in three days.
Are also going to organize informative tables in different health centres where patients will have the opportunity to make a coximetrÃa and conduct a survey of their consumption habits ”, indicates Dr. Ana MarÃa Furió, responsible for the initiative.

Day smoking and COPD
The 31st the Department of health of Requena held II hours of smoking and COPD in the facilities of the Hospital of Requena.
During the day, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the care protocol to tobacco in primary care, as well as preventive activities in the Department. Also carry out training workshops in espirometrÃas, technique involving the inhalation and clinical history of smoking in ABUCASIS ”, indicates Marisa Reynoso, Manager.
