Beijing, 16 feb (EFE).-the environmental organization PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals) today released a list of “worst dressed celebrities” of China which contains five of the most famous actresses in the country, including Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi, often use natural skins.
The five actresses “stained of bloody red red carpet” fame, said the Organization, which China has carried out numerous campaigns against the use of fur and other abuse against animals.
Of Zhang Ziyi, known for films such as “Memoirs of a Geisha” or “Tiger and Dragon,” PETA ensures “have no compassion for animals killed”, while another great Muse of director Zhang Yimou, Gong Li, jokes by pointing out that “rather than abandon their citizenship should leave the skins” (in reference to the fact that Gong took the Singaporean nationality).
To the other three actresses, muses of the cinema of Hong Kong, the Association declares them “morally bankrupt” or “cruel”, among other criticisms that appear in the statement of the organization.
The Vice-President of PETA, Jason Baker, noted to submit this list – first carried out in China and which promises to be regular – “there is nothing glamorous” in wearing animal skins.
According to the environmentalist organization known also for campaigns in which actresses or models pose nude to ask not use fur, animals used in the textile sector are mistreated for too long before being slaughtered, to live in tiny cages.
In China, the largest exporter of fur in the world, many of the animals on fur farms are despellejados alive, “including millions of cats and dogs”, denounces the American NGOs.
