The Minister of Interior, Jorge Fernández DÃaz, has announced that from the General Directorate of traffic (DGT) is structured a screening programme of driving under the influence of drugs similar to alcohol detection controls.

Has also put forward that the Executive plans to organize approximately thousand public employees engaged in administrative work and convert them, for example, in road safety trainers or collaborators of road safety, with the aim of streamlining the economic and budgetary management of the General Directorate of traffic (DGT).
“in the same way as the use of radars frees agents of the Guardia Civil of the speed monitoring and allows to focus its action on other activities and carry out checks of alcohol, we can and we must organize to these thousand public employees,” explained, with the objective of rationalizing the management of media traffic.

Rationalization of the media
On the other hand, the owner of Interior has pointed out that the Ministry will continue with the modernization of procedures related to the vehicle, facilitating the processing of the following efforts to citizens: registration telematics vehicle, submission of reports relating to vehicles via the Internet, telematic transfers of vehicles second hand and annotation of the outcome of the technical inspection of vehicles telematics.
As regards the establishment of improvements in the process of trafficking sanctions, Fernández DÃaz expected to update the addresses contained in the registration of drivers to avoid notifications of the sanctioning procedure failed, as well as introducing a quality system and audit procedure penalties, documenting the entire process, as well as extend to nationwide payment card on road from sanctions imposed.
