The Union of nurses, SATSE Canary Islands and the rest of convening unions carried out demonstrations so far against cuts in health care (CESM, CCOO and UGT SEPCA) have decided to continue with concentrations in the workplace. For the moment, are called concentrations for Thursday, 24 November and 1 December at 1130 hours and not be ruled out other measures of pressure more forceful.
For SATSE, the response of professionals and users of health care, both on the day of strike and mass demonstrations on 17 November, encouraged the organizers to go ahead unless the Administration reverse the budgets planned for 2012. In this sense, the nursing Union believes that the political class should consider the opinion of all those, on a massive scale, have come on the street to demonstrate its rejection of the policy of restraint of rights which is carrying out the Executive canario.
The nursing Union also urged the Administration to convene a negotiating table as soon as possible or will continue measures of pressure to avoid that the Parliament’s green light to budgets that “endanger the quality of care given to all the Canaries and that could be left without jobs to about 2,000 casuals Canarian health (SCS) service”.
