InterSystems announces that Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (Leeds University Hospital, integrated into the British national health system) has implemented InterSystems Ensemble ® as the basis for an architecture (SOA) service-oriented. The Organization has selected InterSystems Ensemble integration platform and pluggable application development, to modernize its capacity for integration. This will help them to make further improvements and extensions of their applications and services, and facilitate the creation of new it services.
The Leeds University Hospital is one of the largest and most active organizations of the British NHS Trust and is more than one million patients a year. previously, for each new interface you the Organization had to reconfigure manually numerous and different interfaces of software in the hospital. This situation cost time and money, and was potentially damaging to its operations.
The ability to “plug-and-play” interfaces, using Ensemble mapping interface, helps the Organization a standardized process that could be reduced by up to 80%, the time and costs in the implementation of interfaces online. The Organization will also Ensemble compliance with the standards of the ToolKit interoperability of Government (ITK) that will significantly reduce barriers to incorporate new applications and devices for the connected care.
