The IHP is committed to meet Belarusian children hosted by the brotherhood of the Hill of the Eagle.

So forceful shows the doctor Alfonso Carmona, medical director of the Seville Institute of Pediatrics (IHP), after receiving a letter of thanks from the brother Mayor of the brotherhood of the Hill of the Eagle (José Anca) by the attention given by the IHP to Belarusian children placed by this Corporation.

This summer came to Sevilla 25 Belarusian children affected by the Chernobyl Nuclear power plant disaster. Children were sheltered temporarily by families of the brotherhood of the Hill of the Eagle and the IHP was in charge of your health care.

Radioactive elements are absorbed by the body, producing the appearance of a multitude of types of cancer, why, who recommends that these minors leaving his country for a period of one month and a half a year to remove radioactivity accumulated in the body ”, explains Luis Escalonaresponsible for the programme.

Once children arrive at Seville, carried out medical activities aimed at preventing the onset of pathologies and also to the treatment of existing ones where appropriate. These medical activities, are carried out with the cooperation of the IHP, which puts to the service of this cause both its facilities and the necessary staff to carry out all the attentions ”, points Escalona.

The IHP is one of the first centres Monográficos Pediatrics at Spain, within private and medicine agreed with the national health system.

Today it has 80 pediatricians and 20 pediatric medical specialties, which offers its patients a personalized assistance in the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga, Huelva and Seville.
