The II International week of the corporate volunteer mobilizes more than 1,100 employees of 49 companies.
Forética, Foundation volunteers from Madrid and found lead this international initiative in Spain.

Madrid, June 2012.- Spain joins, for the second consecutive year to the celebration of the international week of the corporate volunteer (Give & Gain Day), promoted by the International Business Alliance in the Community in twenty-eight countries.
Forética, Foundation volunteers from Madrid and founding, with the collaboration of MSD, have led the 62 projects in Spain, in which participated more than 1,100 employees from 49 companies and 68 entities have collaborated, benefiting nearly 10,000 people, as well as various natural spaces.
The participation of companies has grown 25% from 2011, when 39 companies participated in a total of 56 actions of corporate volunteering, carried out within the framework of the I International week of corporate volunteering.
Activities coordinated by partners
Of the activities that have been organized from 10 to 20 may, include – among the coordinated by Forética-the day of hiking in Cercedilla with 12 people without home in collaboration with Association realities and MSD, or output to a nature reserve with 16 children at risk of exclusion, coordinated with the ICO and Soñar Despierto.
Also in Madrid 25 the Repsol Foundation volunteers participated during two days at the games of coexistence ” with children from mainstream education and special education children. Through sports and recreational activities, 140 children enjoyed the game as an instrument of social integration.
Finally, have been held in Valencia projects as the 250 kilos of garbage collection on a stretch of the River Turia passing through Manises, which was attended by over 30 volunteers from four companies (SPB, Capgemni, SanLucar Fruit and Grupotec) and found.
The international week of the corporate volunteer has the objective of promoting the practice of investment in the community as a collaboration between businesses and social entities. This action arises a tangible impact both the participating organizations and their environmental and social environment.
In particular, through this project, companies have the opportunity to perform specific actions that allow them to see first hand the beneficial effects of this practice, both in its relations with the environment and human resources.
