Madrid, 7 APR ( EFE).-more than 300 NGOs, working in the response to HIV, today warned that “ the reduction” of the budget of the Ministry of health, social services and equality for the fight against AIDS, “the Government paid the ground that proliferate disease”.
In protest at this, State and autonomous, platforms that agglutinate to more than 300 organizations have announced, in a joint statement that they will not celebrate World Health Day, which is commemorated every April 7, anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948, whose theme this year is “good health add life to years”.
These organizations, in addition, have asked the Government to “reconsider the cuts in the response to HIV and modify them to give it properly, both public health authorities and the civil society through NGOs”.
General Secretary of health, Pilar Farjas, said on Tuesday at the press conference of presentation of the accounts of the Ministry for 2012, which has not bypassed the national AIDS Plan and indicated that three million euros “for activities of struggle” against this disease have doomed.
