La SEFAP calls for legal recognition of the specialty of pharmacy care primary.
The Spanish society of pharmacists in primary care (SEFAP) presented allegations to the text of the draft Royal Decree which created new titles of specialist.

Spain, October of 2011- the Spanish society of pharmacists in primary care is essential to have a program of specialized training to ensure the proper performance of the functions of a professional group present in all health services national.
According to statements by the President of SEFAP, Arantxa Catalan devices of primary health care in our country need of pharmacists capable of analyzing the doctors prescribing and consumption of drugs by patients and citizens, regardless of the source of prescription hospital or primary care ”.
Likewise reiterated that streamlining medical criteria, must be established and if it is necessary to influence medical professionals to change their prescribing habits. All this must be made it pharmaceuticals with a level of specialisation in skills that are sometimes complementary of their own hospital pharmacy and sometimes have an own specificity ”.
The SEFAP been recognized that most autonomous communities have regulations which establish the functions of the services and primary care pharmacy units, but curiously, so far has not established the title of this specialty, or have been regulated the requirements for access to this specialty, nor the program of training.
Therefore, the Spanish society of pharmacists in primary care calls for the inclusion of the specialty of pharmacy in primary care, in the text of the Royal Decree which created new specialist titles and is updated the training system of certain specialties in health sciences.
