The Social Council of the University of Granada rewards to the Centre of San Rafael in the category of institutions active in the social sphere or good social practices.

Thus it is reported the President of the Social Council of the University of Granada, Gregorio Vicente Jiménez López, the managing director of the Centre, José Luis Salcedo Lagullón, where is also expressed that the call has enjoyed a high level of quality in the nominations.

The objective of this award is to recognize companies, institutions and social organizations that stand out on good practice in areas of particular social sensitivity, as the of corporate social responsibility, environment, safety at work, etc., all this trying, on such issues, they can influence the research groups of the University of Granada and taking into account the framework of its Strategic Plan.

These awards are an annual basis and honorary in nature. This prize is awarded by the plenary session of the Social Council, to evaluating specific Commission proposal. The award ceremony is scheduled for end of the first quarter of 2012, an act that each year symbolizes what represents the institution, which is not but bridge between the academic community and Granada society.
