This figure reflects the effort and dedication of a team of professionals who works jointly with the aim of establishing lines of work for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease and the socio-familial problems of the patient.

In this sense, both in the Hospital and in the health centres and support units of Mental Health and addictive behavior in the Department, they have the figure of the Social worker, aiming to provide total care to the patient, improving accessibility and avoid travel. Any patient or family member may request appointment at your health centre or corresponding support unit, at the main desk of admission and management of patients.

in the Hospital, after the assessment of the problems on the ground, whether it is morning by the patient or their family members either identified by specialists, these derive the case social worker through not face-to-face consultations ”, with the objective to start the appraisal by the unitin charge of issuing the social diagnosis and subsequently respond to demand that, once discharge occurs at home, the patient can count on resources and facilities that maintain or improve their health status.

The Social work unit attends to patients admitted to all areas of the hospital, as well as attend outpatient and emergency, under the premise of meeting the demands of patients and/or their families in the most efficient and effective manner possible and working on the promotion line, prevention, recovery and rehabilitation.

the Department of health of the Vinalopó, collaborates with the project of intervention community Intercultural (ICI) of the Social La Caixa, located in the zone of Carrus and directed by the Foundation Elche welcomes.
