VWR International, LLC, will acquire LabPartner (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Through strategic acquisition, VWR will strengthen its position in China
RADNOR, Pennsylvania, August 4, 2011/PRNewswire / – VWR International, LLC, a global leader in the distribution of supplies and laboratory services, announced today that it will acquire LabPartner (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., depending on the usual terms of closure and the approval of regulators chinas.
LabPartner, based in Shanghai, is an established supplier of laboratory equipment, reagentes, consumer goods and services for research and development. LabPartner supports biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries in China, with primera products and integrated services, with a focus on the distribution of chemical products.
As part of the overall corporate strategy of VWR, the company is seeking opportunities to expand its international presence through selected acquisitions and the expansion of its current operations. LabPartner infrastructure will complement the current presence of VWR at the Asia Pacific region to respond to the needs of local and international customers.
