Madrid, December 2011.- A year, the Christmas market of the Syndrome Foundation of Madrid Down (FSDM) opened its doors, since last Wednesday December 14 until December 18. The schedule will be from 12: 00 to 20: 00 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and 11: 30 to 21: 00 hours (Saturday and Sunday).
In this 5th Edition, a group of kids with intellectual disabilities will work as volunteers in response to the public in the different positions of the market. Its work will contribute to the main objective of this market, which is raising funds for 3 olive trees. It is a center of attention for adults with intellectual disabilities, which will cover all your needs and expectations: medical and psychological care, guidance and family mediation, socio-labour integration, leisure and cultural activities, permanent or temporary residence, day centre, occupational Center, etc.
Decoration, perfumery, toys, fashion, gastronomy and much more to surprise these Christmas or a freak with spirit of solidarity.
Moreover, attendees to the flea market may participate in the spectacular gifts of our tombola draw.
The Foundation, Down syndrome, Madrid was established in 1989 as a non-profit whose mission is to: promote, develop and promote all kinds of activities aimed at the full family, school, employment and social integration of persons with intellectual disabilities and Down syndromein order to improve the quality of life of this group and their families.
